Trackers and browsing

Cookie policy

A basket that remembers your cameras, audience measurement to see what interests visitors: here are the files the site places, what they are for, how long they last and how to refuse them.

Updated on 7 October 2026.

First things first

What is a cookie?

A small file placed on your device by the site you are visiting, and read again on your next visits. Some are essential: without them, a basket would empty every time you changed page. Others are used to measure traffic or evaluate an advertising campaign: those are not needed for the shop to work, and you can refuse them.

The word “cookie” is used here in a broad sense: it also covers other equivalent trackers, such as the browser’s local storage.

The three types

What the site places

Essential

Making the shop work

They remember what’s in your basket, keep you logged in to your account, store your cookie choice, secure payment and let the site load quickly.

Payment goes through Stripe (WooPayments). Where it is offered (in-stock product pages, basket, checkout), Stripe, Google Pay and hCaptcha place security trackers used to detect fraud.

Without them, ordering is simply impossible: they do not require your consent.

Measurement and advertising

Understanding and spreading the word

Placed by Google, WordPress.com (Jetpack statistics) and Pinterest, they show how many people visit the site, how they get there and whether an advertising campaign led to an order. WooCommerce also records where an order comes from (search engine, social network, campaign).

They are not needed for the site to work: none is placed before you agree in the banner, and you can withdraw your agreement at any time.

Newsletter

The sign-up form

Sign-ups (the new arrivals newsletter, the −5% code) are handled by MailerLite, our email sending tool. Its visit tracking script, which links a subscriber to their visits to the shop, only loads once you have agreed.

Signing up is entirely voluntary, and every email includes a link to unsubscribe instantly.

Main trackers found on the site. Exact names may vary as the tools are updated. This list is kept as up to date as we can manage.

How to refuse or delete them

A banner tells you about cookies on your first visit and records your answer. You also have tools that act directly on your device, and that no one can get around:

  • Your browser settings : every browser lets you block third-party cookies, delete them all, or do so automatically when you close it. The menus are called “Privacy and security” (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) or “Privacy” (Safari).
  • Private browsing : cookies placed during the session are deleted as soon as you close the window.
  • Google settings : ad personalisation can be switched off at myadcenter.google.com, and an official browser add-on lets you block audience measurement at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Unsubscribing from the newsletter : the link is at the bottom of every email and takes effect immediately.

Measurement and advertising trackers are only placed once you have agreed: until you accept, they stay inactive.

Refusing measurement cookies does not affect your visit in any way: the shop, the basket and checkout work exactly the same. Blocking essential cookies, on the other hand, stops the basket from working.

How long your choice is kept

Your answer to the banner is remembered for 6 months, so you don’t have to give it again on every page. It is not final: the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page reopens the banner. Deleting the site’s cookies from your browser also brings it back.

Measurement and advertising trackers have a lifespan capped at 13 months, in line with CNIL recommendations, and the statistics derived from them are not kept beyond 25 months.

Third-party trackers

Cookies placed by Google, WordPress.com, Pinterest, Stripe, hCaptcha and MailerLite are governed by their own policies, which we have no control over. You can read their rules at policies.google.com, automattic.com, policy.pinterest.com, stripe.com, hcaptcha.com and mailerlite.com.

The links to Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Pinterest on the site are plain links to our profiles: they place no tracker unless you click on them. Once you are on those platforms, their own rules apply. The Pinterest tag is something else: an advertising measurement tracker, loaded only once you have agreed.
